Free bass hand chart
The treble side of the accordion is similar to a piano or keyboard - the bass side is actually quite forgiving in itself as you can see in this downloadable chart - just print it out.

A few drills for the bass hand side
Here are a few examples to improve the dexterity of your bass hand playing ability! Best practised slowly and then brought upto a brisk speed. These are reminiscent of the excercises of the great Carl Czerny - here reduced/arranged and setup for the accordion.
What's that sound?
Every accordion has a different sound, but there are two main tunings that all accordions come in. These are 'Straight tuned' (or double octave tuned) and 'Musette tuned'. As a rule of thumb 90% of accordions we sell are Musette tuned - eg. Scottish dancing, parisienne cafe style - the most popular and often heard. Then there's straight tuned which is more for Jazz players. It's a cleaner sound with less 'vibrato'.If you've heard some music somewhere and want to find out how to recreate it - just contact us!
